Redbridge Dance Link Gala - March 2024
Variations Dance Studio Principal Sara met with other former Redbridge Dance Link members and dance teachers to revive this group which was set up 35 years ago and which Sara has been a member of and supported since the early days. The group had not operated since 2020 due to Covid restrictions and so it was wonderful to get it up and running again! Our lovely students performed three items in a full and varied programme on Saturday 9th March and here are a few photos from the day...
Variations Ballet Exams - March 2024
On 25th March, students from age 6 to 16 took their RAD Ballet Exams with excellent results and 100% pass rate. Well done to all! 🙂
There were also filmed Tap Exams in March and filmed Ballet Exams in August - equally successful.
Further exam sessions will take place in the autumn term 2024 and the spring term 2025.
Crescendo Concert - March 2024
On 17th March, our talented music students entertained parents and friends at the Memorial Hall, South Woodford with solos, duets and bands in a wide genre of musical styles and instruments - Baroque to Rock & Pop; some jazz too. It was a lovely day of music making - and being St Patrick's Day, we ended with two of our lovely teachers offering some traditional Irish tunes on guitar!
Variations Show - 'Once Upon a Time' - 7th July 2024
All the students rose to the occasion to give a smashing show to parents and friends. We had experienced many setbacks along the way with booked venues letting us down unexpectedly, but as they say "The Show Must Go On" and we certainly made sure it did! Well done everyone! 👏👏👏
Rock Band Project - Summer Holiday 2024
The eighteen students who attended this year's Rock Band Project had a fun and very creative few days! They split into four bands and came up with some amazing compositions set against various videos. Teachers Mark & Gilles ran the course for the third year and it looks like it will be a permanent summer holiday event. Well done to all the students on some excellent work! 😃
